Mect

With inspiration from the film Castle In The Sky, my world "Mect'' is a hidden and floating island that is held together by a mysterious energy source found within its land. You can only ever come across this world by discovering a linked entrance in your current world by chance, or, be invited in by one of the energy wielders of the land. Because of this, Mect has a low population, leaving part of the land to be naturally preserved wildlife. Its citizens worship the sacred fountain at the heart of the land, offering prayers and blessings to keep the energy source and the land afloat and healthy. There is also an underground water source that flows through and out of the mountains at its borders, filtering any impurities on the land. The weather is directly related to the purity of the energy and water. If there is any kind of imbalance, storms and natural disasters will occur. In Mect, animals and other organisms of the ecosystem are like those you find on Earth. The fountain is the main source that allows those who wield the mysterious energy to connect with worlds beyond Mect. Since it is a hidden world, the leaders trade and communicate with outsiders through human-like messengers that live on Earth to lower the chance of outside threats.
